Olefins

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA is the fourth largest merchant marketer of olefins in North America.  Our high purity olefins are valued for use as chemical intermediates in processes that produce a variety of consumer products.  Our merchant olefins products include ethylene and butadiene.  Among the ethylene applications are ethylene glycol for automotive products such as antifreeze; plastics such as polyethylene and PVC for packaging and housing/construction applications; and alpha olefins for detergents and lubricants.  Among the applications for butadiene are automotive windshield sealants, and synthetic rubbers for both tires and athletic shoe soles.

Polymers

High density polyethylene and polypropylene are used to make a wide variety of plastic products that consumers value for convenience, safety, hygiene, ease of use, light-weighting, durability and recyclablility.  Examples include milk, juice and water bottles; jar and bottle caps; carpeting; toys; automotive gas tanks; diaper cover stock; gas and water service pipe; plastic wood decking; and pallets, crates and bins.  Click on the links below to learn more and to access data for recommended products.
